Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Wisla Krakow (3-11) was defeated on the road by second ranked Polonia Bytom (12-3) 83-68 on Friday. Polonia Bytom outrebounded Wisla Krakow 43-32 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Emil Podkowinski (194-88) fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Center Piotr Wojdyr (217-90, agency: Promotex) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Polonia Bytom players scored in double figures. Power forward Jakub Zaczek (204-96) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds and Piotr Lucka (194-96) added 10 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Polonia Bytom have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-3 record behind leader Slask Wroclaw, which they share with AZS AWF Mick. Loser Wisla Krakow dropped to the twelfth place with 11 games lost.
