Regular Season Round 17: SISU - Bakken 108-100

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Bakken (11-2) against seventh ranked SISU (5-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Bakken was defeated by SISU in a tough game in Copenhagen 100-108. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Bakken. The hosts were already 12 points ahead at halftime and as many as 21 after three quarters before a 37-24 last quarter charge of Bakken cut the lead to 108-100 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Bakken 47-35 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. SISU players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Bakken's players. Bakken was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American Kyle Dranginis (195-92, college: Gonzaga) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists. His fellow American import forward Tanner McGrew (203-93, college: W.Virg.Wesl., agency: Duran International) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American-Trinidad and Tobago guard Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St.) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Mike Gesell (188-93, college: Iowa) added 19 points and 7 assists in the effort for Bakken. Five SISU and four Bakken players scored in double figures. SISU maintains seventh place with 5-11 record. Bakken at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. SISU will play against bottom-ranked Stevnsgade (#8) on the road in the next round. Bakken will play against Naestved (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
