Regular Season Round 16: Cambados - Zamorano 98-82

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Zamorano (4-12) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Cambados (10-6) 98-82 on Saturday. Zamorano was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 30-12 charge of Cambados, which allowed them to win the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. Cambados looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Congolese forward Charles Nkaloulou (199-94) fired 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Adrian Chapela (192-94) chipped in 7 points and 10 assists. American guard Chris Hansen (193-93, college: Idaho St.) produced 18 points and center Christopher Iza (206-95) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cambados moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Valladolid. Zamorano lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. They share it with L'Hospitalet. Cambados will meet Moron (#7) in the next round. Zamorano will play against Agustinos-Leclerc (#11) and hope to secure a win.
