Rather expected game when 9th ranked Tokyo Big Blue (1-13) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Saitama Broncos (5-19) 65-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. Saitama Broncos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Brent Jennings (193-88, college: So.Poly State, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Masaya Ueda (177-93) who added 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Jennings is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Saitama Broncos' coach Samir StClair used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Yoshikawa Osamuakira (182-92) responded with 29 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Ryota Ito (178-92) scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Saitama Broncos have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 5-19 record. Tokyo Big Blue lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Saitama Broncos will meet at home higher ranked Tokyo HT (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tokyo Big Blue will play against the league's leader Fukuoka Rizing (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
