Regular Season Round 15: Piacenza - Faenza 90-57

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Faenza (9-6) was outleveled on the road by fourth ranked Piacenza (12-3) 90-57 on Saturday. Piacenza looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Faenza was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for power forward Diego Banti (206-83, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Tommaso Tempestini (180-87) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. Five Piacenza players scored in double figures. Piacenza's coach Furio Steffe felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Jacopo Silimbani (202-86, agency: Interperformances) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Marco Perin (183-93) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Faenza. The victory was the third consecutive win for Piacenza. They moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Bergamo. Faenza lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with six games lost.
