The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked ADBA's (3-10) road loss to tenth ranked Maquinaria Ensino (5-8) 51-82 on Saturday. The game without a history. Maquinaria Ensino led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ADBA to just 5 points in third quarter. Maquinaria Ensino dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to ADBA's 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Bosnian center Aleksandra Begenisic (193-89, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Cuban guard Licet Castillo (175-73) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Maquinaria Ensino players scored in double figures. Maquinaria Ensino's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side Slovenian guard Eva Rupnik (177-92) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Andrea Malanda (164-90) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Maquinaria Ensino maintains tenth place in Group A with 5-8 record. ADBA lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. Maquinaria Ensino will face higher ranked Arxil Pontevedra (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ADBA will play against Joventut LC (#3) and hope to win that game.
