Regular Season Round 27: KTU - Suduva-Mantinga 58-106

NKL top team - Suduva-Mantinga (22-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked KTU (9-17) in Kaunas 106-58. The game without a history. Suduva-Mantinga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to KTU's 16. They outrebounded KTU 43-22 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Suduva-Mantinga players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. It was a good game for guard Evaldas Saulys (190-93) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Dominykas Domarkas (190-92) contributed with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Four Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Deividas Poguzinskas (202-95, college: High School) answered with 14 points and Mindaugas Jakstas (187-92) added 11 points and 5 assists in the effort for KTU. KTU's coach Vytautas Pliauga gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Suduva-Mantinga have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 22-4 record. KTU lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with 17 games lost.
