Regular Season Round 15: VL Pesaro - Betaland Cdo 70-68

A very interesting game took place in Pesaro. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Betaland Cdo (8-7) to fifteenth ranked VL Pesaro (5-10) 70-68 on Sunday evening. Betaland Cdo was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 23-17 charge of VL Pesaro, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 22 Betaland Cdo turnovers. Strangely Betaland Cdo outrebounded VL Pesaro 37-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American-Hungarian power forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) who led his team to a victory with 19 points. American guard Marcus Thornton (193-93, college: William & Mary) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Serbian guard Milenko Tepic (202-87, agency: BeoBasket) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Dominique Archie (200-87, college: S.Carolina) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Betaland Cdo. VL Pesaro moved-up to fourteenth place. Betaland Cdo at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. VL Pesaro's next round opponent will be higher ranked Brescia (#7) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Betaland Cdo will play against the league's leader Armani Milano where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
