Regular Season Round 31: CD Valdivia - Osorno 79-76

The most exciting game of round 31 in the Liga Nacional took place in Valdivia. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Osorno Basquetbol (22-10) to fifth ranked Deportivo Valdivia (18-12) 79-76 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Osorno Basquetbol. 25 personal fouls committed by Osorno Basquetbol helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American Durrell Summers (193-89, college: Michigan St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. International Fernando Schuler (190-91) helped adding 7 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side international forward Juan Fontena (196-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds and American forward Brandon Robinson (198-89, college: Clayton St.) scored 25 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Deportivo Valdivia maintains fifth place with 18-12 record. Osorno Basquetbol at the other side keeps the second position with ten games lost.
