Very expected game when 9th ranked Katy Wroclawskie (6-10) lost at home to fourth ranked Stal II Ostrow (10-6) 65-48 on Sunday. Stal II Ostrow shot 17 for 28 from the free-throw line, while Katy Wroclawskie only scored one point from the stripe. Stal II Ostrow forced 19 Katy Wroclawskie turnovers. Center Wojciech Zurawski (202-76) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. Krzysztof Spala (190-93) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Stal II Ostrow players scored in double figures. Swingman Lukasz Bartnicki (175-89) answered with 12 points and 7 assists and Lukasz Malinowski (195-89) added 6 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Katy Wroclawskie. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Stal II Ostrow maintains fourth place in Group D with 10-6 record. Katy Wroclawskie at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Stal II Ostrow will face Gimbasket WRC (#6) in Wroclaw in the next round. Katy Wroclawskie will play on the road against Miedzychod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
