There was a minor upset in Madrid where 12th ranked CAI Zaragoza (5-10) was defeated by fifteenth ranked Movil Estudiantes (5-10) 94-78 on Sunday. The game without a history. Movil Estudiantes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. French Edwin Jackson (190-89, agency: BeoBasket) fired 26 points for the winners. Bosnian-Croatian center Goran Suton (208-85, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. Dutch center Henk Norel (213-87) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and Serbian power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, agency: BeoBasket) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Four CAI Zaragoza players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Movil Estudiantes moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with UCAM Murcia and CAI Zaragoza. CAI Zaragoza lost third consecutive game. Movil Estudiantes will face higher ranked Valencia Basket (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
