We should mention about the upset which took place in Braunschweig, where higher ranked BBC Bayreuth (13-4) was outleveled in a road game by sixteenth ranked Braunschweig (4-13) 82-63. Braunschweig outrebounded BBC Bayreuth 41-27 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Canadian forward Dyshawn Pierre (198-93, college: Dayton) notched 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American center Geoffrey Groselle (212-93, college: Creighton) supported him with 13 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks. Four Braunschweig players scored in double figures. Braunschweig's coach Frank Menz used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 18 points by American point guard Kyan Anderson (180-92, college: TCU, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for BBC Bayreuth. His fellow American import Nate Linhart (201-86, college: Akron) added 5 points and 7 rebounds. Braunschweig moved-up to fifteenth place.
