Regular Season Round 13: MKS DG - Krosno 75-81

There was a minor upset when higher ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (8-6) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Krosno (8-6) 81-75 on Sunday. Krosno outrebounded MKS Dabrowa Gornicza 37-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Swedish-American guard Chris Czerapowicz (201-91, college: Davidson) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and American power forward Kareem Maddox (202-89, college: Princeton) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the losing side American point guard Kerron Johnson (183-90, college: Belmont) responded with 18 points and the other American import guard Byron Wesley (196-92, college: Gonzaga) scored 14 points. Four MKS Dabrowa Gornicza players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Krosno moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated MKS Dabrowa Gornicza. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza lost their third game in a row. Krosno will face AZS Polfarmex (#15) in Kutno in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will play on the road against Energa Czarni (#10) in Slupsk and hope to win that game.
