Regular Season Round 13: TuNMKY - Namika Lr 100-64

There was no surprise in Turun where 13th ranked Namika Lr (1-12) was outplayed by second ranked TuNMKY (10-2) 100-64. The game was mostly controlled by TuNMKY. Namika Lr was better in third quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Namika Lr 42-25 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. TuNMKY players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Namika Lr's players. It was a very good performance for center Mikael Sandberg (210-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Eero Innamaa (186-98) contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four TuNMKY players scored in double figures. TuNMKY's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Santeri Mantynen (192-95) answered with 18 points and 4 steals and swingman Anttoni Tapio (193-92) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Namika Lr. TuNMKY maintains second place in Division with 10-2 record behind leader PuHu Juniorit. Namika Lr at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. TuNMKY's next round opponent will be league's leader PuHu Juniorit in Vantaa and it will be for sure the game of the week. Namika Lr will play on the road against Munkkiniemen (#12) in Helsinki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
