Regular Season Round 18: Stevnsgade - SISU 64-86
Date: January 10, 2017
Bottom-ranked Stevnsgade is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 16th consecutive match to seventh ranked SISU (6-12) 86-64 on Tuesday evening. The game was mostly controlled by SISU. Stevnsgade managed to win second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SISU had a 36-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American Kyle Dranginis (195-92, college: Gonzaga) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and guard Oliver Stroeh (192-94, college: Shippensburg) supported him with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Five SISU players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by American power forward Davie Champagnie (206-90, college: Martin Methodist) did not help to save the game for Stevnsgade. Swingman Jesper Sandager (194-96) added 18 points. Stevnsgade's coach Ricky Kristensen already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. SISU maintains seventh position with 6-12 record. Loser Stevnsgade still closes the standings. SISU will meet at home higher ranked Randers (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Stevnsgade will play against Naestved and hopes to get finally their first victory.
