Serie A top team - Armani Milano (13-2) added another victory to their record on Tuesday. This time they beat twelfth ranked AV Cantu (6-9) 85-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AV Cantu. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 28-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Croatian swingman Krunoslav Simon (197-85) who scored 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Slovenian swingman Zoran Dragic (196-89) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Greek forward Patrick Calathes (207-85, college: St.Joseph's) who recorded 19 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward JaJuan Johnson (208-89, college: Purdue) added 20 points respectively. Four AV Cantu players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-2 record. Loser AV Cantu keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Dolomiti En. TR. Armani Milano will meet at home Betaland Cdo (#5) in the next round. AV Cantu will play against the league's second-placed Umana Venezia (#2) and hope to secure a win.
