Regular Season Round 16: Centrum - Kongsberg 97-100

Sixth-ranked Centrum (9-10) made lots of trouble for first ranked Kongsberg (15-2) in Oslo on Thursday. The visitors from Kongsberg managed to secure only three-point victory 100-97. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Kongsberg made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Centrum helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (188-91, college: Barry) fired 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Croatian guard Tomislav Gabric (198-91, college: Ft.Hays State) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Aksel Bolinz (201-90, college: N.Illinois) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds and forward Anders Stien (195-90) added 26 points respectively for lost side. Four Kongsberg and five Centrum players scored in double figures. Kongsberg have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-2 record. Defending champion Centrum dropped to the seventh place with ten games lost. Kongsberg are looking forward to face Nidaros Jets (#4) in Tromdheim in the next round. Centrum will play at home against Nidaros Jets and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
