The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Brasilia as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Brasilia edged 14th ranked Macae at home 74-72. It was a good game for international Guilherme Giovannoni (203-80) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. International point guard Deryk Ramos (185-94) contributed with 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. American point guard Kendall Anthony (173-93, college: Richmond) answered with 15 points and 9 assists and Erick Camilo (203-92) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Macae. Brasilia have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Macae at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with ten games lost.
