Regular Season Round 15: Tenerife Naut. - Casvi 87-89

Important game to mention about took place in Santa Cruz. Fourth ranked Casvi (10-5) saved a 2-point derby victory on the road edging 3rd placed Tenerife Naut. (9-4) 89-87 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tenerife Naut.. Casvi forced 26 Tenerife Naut. turnovers. Strangely Tenerife Naut. outrebounded Casvi 45-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. Tenerife Naut. was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Jose Miguel Perez (202-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. Alfonso Ortiz (190-99) helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was Cuban power forward Georffri Silvestre (202-79) with 22 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Samuel Rodriguez (200-97) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Casvi moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Real Madrid II. Loser Tenerife Naut. dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Casvi will face CB Guadalajara (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tenerife Naut. will play against Quintanar (#8) and hope to win that game.
