Regular Season Round 16: Saarlouis/Dillingen - Stuttgart 74-77

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Stuttgart and 10th ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen had identical 4-10 record. But Saarlouis/Dillingen was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Stuttgart 77-74 on Saturday night. Stuttgart forced 22 Saarlouis/Dillingen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward David Rotim (197-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Marco Schlafke (187-82) who added 17 points and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Lindsey Hughey (190-89, college: Weber St.) responded with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and British-American guard Adrian Kuyinu (190-91, college: Missouri Baptist) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Saarlouis/Dillingen players scored in double figures. Stuttgart (5-10) moved-up to ninth place in South-West, which they share with Tuebingen II and Mainz. Saarlouis/Dillingen lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Stuttgart will face Tuebingen II (#10) at home in the next round. Saarlouis/Dillingen will play against Kaiserslautern and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
