Regular Season Round 15: Igualada - Castelldefels 83-63

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Castelldefels (4-8) was rolled over on the road by twelfth ranked Igualada (4-8) 83-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Igualada led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Igualada especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. It was a great evening for Miquel Benito who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Center Eduard Tejero (195-92) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Igualada's coach Jordi Marti allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was forward Albert Olmedo (198-92) with 15 points and point guard Marc Pages (178-95) scored 11 points. Igualada moved-up to ninth place in Group C-B, which they share with Cerdalyola and Castelldefels. Castelldefels lost fourth consecutive game. Igualada will face higher ranked Mollet (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
