An interesting game for Apoel (6-5) which hosted in Nicosia 4th placed Enosis (4-7). Third ranked Apoel managed to get a 5-point victory 78-73. Enosis was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Canadian Murphy Burnatowski (200-90, college: Colgate) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Tre Bussey (190-91, college: Georgia South) contributed with 22 points and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Eric Washington (178-93, college: Miami, OH) answered with 24 points and 6 assists and the other American import forward Tyler Hines (198-90, college: Md-E Shore) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Enosis. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Apoel maintains third place with 6-5 record having four points less than leader Keravnos. Enosis at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Apoel are looking forward to face Apollon (#5) in Limassol in the next round. Enosis will play on the road against Etha in Nicosia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
