Regular Season Round 15: Lliria - Sagunto 85-88

There was a minor upset when 3rd placed Lliria (6-6) was edged at home by seventh ranked Sagunto (6-6) 88-85 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 3 points. It was a great evening for Dutch forward Jordan Kaspers (197-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Andres Pallardo (180-94) helped adding 15 points. Sagunto's coach Pau Gaya allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was guard Victor Perez (180-90) with 23 points and 6 assists and forward Jorge Marin (198-79) scored 17 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Sagunto and four Lliria players scored in double figures. Sagunto moved-up to fourth place in Group E, which they share with Lliria and Valencia II. Lliria lost fourth consecutive game. Sagunto will face Paterna (#7) at home in the next round. Lliria will play against Valencia-2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
