Regular Season Round 15: Guadalajara - Villarrobledo 71-56

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked Villarrobledo (7-8) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked CB Guadalajara (6-7) 71-56 on Sunday. CB Guadalajara made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Villarrobledo turnovers. Strangely Villarrobledo outrebounded CB Guadalajara 41-26 including a 24-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American CJ Dunston (196-94, college: Lancaster Bible) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Forward Raul Lazaro (195-87) helped adding 13 points. The best for the losing side was Senegalese forward Bruno Diatta (208-96) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and American guard Bo Barnes (193-90, college: Arizona St., agency: Haylett Sports) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CB Guadalajara have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted CB Guadalajara maintains eleventh place in Group B with 6-7 record. Loser Villarrobledo keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. CB Guadalajara will face higher ranked Casvi (#3) in Villaviciosa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
