Second Stage Round 1: Norrort - Jamtland II 77-90

There was a minor upset when Taby Basket (5-1) lost at home to Jamtland II (3-3) 90-77 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Jamtland II. Taby Basket was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Jamtland II had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for guard Olle Lundqvist (198-99) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Adam Johansson (188-0) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Mattias Herlitz (190-94) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and center Anders Gombrii (204-96) added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Taby Basket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Jamtland II will face KFUM Central (#4) in Stockholm in the next round. Taby Basket will play at home against BG Lulea and hope to win that game.
