Regular Season Round 9: Saitama Bron. - Tokyo HT 64-58

The game between third ranked Tokyo HT (9-7) and seventh ranked Saitama Broncos (5-11) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Tokyo HT was defeated by Saitama Broncos in a tough game in Saitama 58-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tokyo HT. It was a good game for point guard Masaya Ueda (177-93) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 4 assists. American power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward Brian Harper (208-85, college: Paine) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo HT. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saitama Broncos maintains seventh place with 5-11 record. Tokyo HT at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Saitama Broncos are looking forward to face league's leader Fukuoka Rizing at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tokyo HT's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Cinq R..
