Regular Season Round 17: Lighthouse TR - Eurobasket Roma 75-82

The biggest surprise of round 17 in Serie A2 was guest Roma E-basket's (10-7) road victory over Lighthouse TR (#7) 82-75 on Sunday evening. Roma E-basket made 18-of-18 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Michael Deloach (185-86, college: Norfolk St.) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import center Tony Easley (206-87, college: Murray St.) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. The former international power forward Andrea Renzi (207-89, agency: Players Group) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and the former international swingman Gabriele Ganeto (200-87) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Lighthouse TR players scored in double figures. Roma E-basket moved-up to fifth place in A2. Lighthouse TR at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Roma E-basket are looking forward to face higher ranked Tortona (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lighthouse TR will play against the league's leader Legnano in Castellanza and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
