The game in Sopot was also quite interesting. Third ranked AZS PGd (12-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Trefl II Sopot (10-7). AZS PGd defeated Trefl II Sopot 70-54 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Trefl II Sopot. AZS PGd dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Trefl II Sopot's 24. They outrebounded Trefl II Sopot 49-31 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lukasz Jaskiewicz (202-92) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Robert Kolka (184-93) chipped in 14 points and 4 steals. AZS PGd's coach Marek Iglinski used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Power forward Ignacy Grochowski (202-98) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and guard Damian Ciesielski (187-97) added 14 points respectively for lost side. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for AZS PGd. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Sudety. Loser Trefl II Sopot dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. AZS PGd will face league's leader Pelplin in Pelpin in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Trefl II Sopot will play on the road against Asseco II (#5) in Gdynia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
