Regular Season Round 19: Zaglebie - MKS DG 2 93-66

Everything could happen in Sosnowiec at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Zaglebie and 10th ranked MKS DG 2 had identical 4-12 record. This time Zaglebie used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Dabrowa Gornicza 93-66 on Wednesday night. Zaglebie dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 30. They outrebounded MKS DG 2 46-29 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. MKS DG 2 was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Michal Moralewicz (186-91) fired 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Kamil Wojciak (193-85) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Lukasz Majchrowski (194-95) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Adam Skiba (182-99) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Zaglebie (5-12) moved-up to ninth place. Loser MKS DG 2 dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Zaglebie will face higher ranked Rybnik (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MKS DG 2 will play against AZS PCz (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
