Regular Season Round 28: Indios - Toros 96-94

The most exciting game of round 28 in the LNBP took place in Ciudad Juarez. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Toros (16-12) to eighth ranked Ciudad (11-16) 96-94 on Thursday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Tony Bennett (185-84, college: Bradley) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 assists. Swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Ciudad players scored in double figures. Forward Lorrenzo Wade (201-85, college: San Diego St., agency: DTMones) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Toros. Toros' coach Jose Martinez Boglio tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ciudad moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Barreteros. Toros lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the third position with 12 games lost. They share it with Garzas and Panteras. Ciudad is again looking forward to face higher ranked Toros (#5) in Nuevo Laredo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Toros will have a break next round.
