Regular Season Round 15: Trefl Sopot - Anwil 79-80

Important game to mention about took place in Sopot. Third ranked Anwil (11-6) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Trefl (9-7) 80-79 on Thursday evening. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Kamil Laczynski (183-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 10 points and 9 assists. The former international power forward Pawel Leonczyk (203-86) helped adding 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. Anwil's coach Igor Milicic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Serbian power forward Nikola Markovic (208-89) with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds and the former international Filip Dylewicz (202-80) scored 20 points. Anwil maintains third place with 11-6 record having just two points less than leader Torun. Trefl at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with PGE Turow and Szczecin. Anwil will play against Polpharma (#11) in Starogard in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Trefl will play on the road against the league's second-placed Stelmet (#2) in Zielona Gora and hopes to get back on the winning track.
