Regular Season Round 15: PeU-Basket - Ura Basket 79-75

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked PeU-Basket (5-11) won against 4th placed Ura Basket (12-5) in Pernio 79-75 on Thursday. Ura Basket was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 23-15 charge of PeU-Basket, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for forward Riku Laine (197-97) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Tiel Daniels (200-92, college: Colorado St.) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward Sean Harris (201, college: Utah St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and forward Samu Kaaresvirta (192-81) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Ura Basket. Ura Basket's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. PeU-Basket moved-up to tenth place in Division. Loser Ura Basket dropped to the third position with five games lost. PeU-Basket will face Namika Lr (#13) in Lappeenranta in the next round. Ura Basket will play on the road against JyWe (#11) in Jyvaskyla and hope to win that game.
