Regular Season Round 7: KL Dragons - Saigon H. 82-67

An interesting game for Malaysian KL Dragons (2-6) which hosted in Kuala Lumpur 4th placed Vietnamese Saigon Heat (1-5). Fourth ranked KL Dragons had an easy win 82-67. The game without a history. KL Dragons led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. KL Dragons forced 19 Saigon Heat turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Marcus Melvin (206-82, college: N.Carolina St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 9 rebounds. American-Israeli point guard Freddie Goldstein (178-88, college: S.Alabama) helped adding 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. KL Dragons' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Haminn Quaintance (203-85, college: Kent St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import Lenny Daniel (203-87, college: CS Northridge) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. KL Dragons maintains fourth place with 2-6 record, which they share with Kaohsiung. Saigon Heat at the other side dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. KL Dragons will play against Kaohsiung (#4) in Kaohsiung City in the next round. Saigon Heat will play on the road against Alab Pilipinas in Manila to get more than just one victory in their record.
