The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Waregem (14-3) in Antwerp on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Giants B (8-9) 87-82. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Waregem. It was a good game for center Bert Van Den Broek (201-92) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Philippe Peeters (188-95) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Giants B's coach Thomas Crab used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Swingman Brecht Guillemyn (192-87) replied with 20 points and point guard Lars De Lepeleire (175-91) added 15 points in the effort for Waregem. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Giants B moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Melsele. Waregem at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Giants B is looking forward to face league's second-placed Gent Hawks on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Waregem will play against Ninane and is hoping to win this game.
