Regular Season Round 20: Lietkabelis - Siauliai 75-62

Very expected game in Panevezys where 10th ranked Siauliai (2-18) was defeated by second ranked Lietkabelis (15-5) 75-62. The game was mostly controlled by Lietkabelis. Siauliai was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lietkabelis forced 19 Siauliai turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Zygimantas Skucas (201-92, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 7 rebounds. Australian swingman Ben Madgen (193-85, college: Augusta) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Lietkabelis players scored in double figures. Lietkabelis maintains second position with 15-5 record having four points less than leader Zalgiris. Siauliai lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Lietkabelis' next round opponent will be league's leader Zalgiris in Kaunas and it will be for sure the game of the week. Siauliai will play at home against Dzukija (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
