Regular Season Round 10: Saitama Bron. - Fukuoka Rizing 58-86

B League D3 top team - Fukuoka Rizing (16-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Saitama Broncos (5-13) 86-58. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Saitama Broncos was better in fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fukuoka Rizing forced 23 Saitama Broncos turnovers. American forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) scored 30 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Daisuke Kobayashi (188-87) chipped in 16 points (made all of his seven free throws) during the contest. At the losing side American guard Brent Jennings (193-88, college: So.Poly State, agency: Interperformances) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Fukuoka Rizing have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-2 record. Loser Saitama Broncos keep the seventh place with 13 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face Toyoda Gosei (#8) in Aichi in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Saitama Broncos will play on the road against the league's second-placed Kanazawa Sam. in Ishikawa and hope to win that game.
