Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked Muglaorman (2-17) lost at home to eighth ranked Samsun (12-7) 91-76 on Saturday. Samsun shot 63.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Samsun looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Jerry Smith (188-87, college: Louisville, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 assists. Guinean-American forward Ousmane Drame (206-93, college: Quinnipiac) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American guard Ricky Harris (187-87, college: Massachusetts) answered with 28 points and the other American import center Marvin Jefferson (206-86, college: Idaho) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Muglaorman. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Samsun moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Istanbulspor. Muglaorman lost sixth consecutive game. Muglaorman at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Samsun will face Gelisim (#14) in Izmir in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Muglaorman will play on the road against Bandirma Kir. (#10) in Balikesir and hope to win that game.
