The game with biggest result difference took place in Aarhus. Local Bakken (13-2) outscored 5th ranked Horsholm (8-10) 102-64 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 19 Horsholm turnovers. Bakken shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bakken made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Mike Gesell (188-93, college: Iowa) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 assists and the former international forward Morten Sahlertz (198-89) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Bakken players scored in double figures. Bakken's coach Jakob Freil felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Asbjorn Midtgaard (210-97) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and American Jyles Smith (209-92, college: Savannah St.) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Bakken maintains second position with 13-2 record having 3 victories less than leader Horsens IC. Horsholm lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Bakken will meet league's leader Horsens IC in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Horsholm will play against Stevnsgade (#8) and hope to secure a win.
