Very predictable result when third ranked Kirchheim Knights (14-5) beat at home bottom-ranked Titans (2-18) 88-70 on Saturday. Kirchheim Knights made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for guard Carrington Love (186-94, college: Green Bay) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Forward Jonathon Williams (198-90, college: Wagner) helped adding 17 points and 8 rebounds. Five Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard R.J. Price (180-93, college: Radford) responded with 16 points and 8 assists and power forward David Sturner (206-90, college: S.Oregon) scored 14 points. Titans' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kirchheim Knights. They maintain third place with 14-5 record having just three points less than leader MBC. Titans lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 18 lost games. Kirchheim Knights will meet at home Oettinger Rockets Gotha (#7) in the next round. Titans will play against Koeln Rh.Stars (#9) and hope to secure a win.
