Regular Season Round 15: Vichy Clermont - Evreux 91-77

Rather expected game when 10th ranked ALM Evreux (6-9) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked JA Vichy (8-7) 91-77. It looked good early as ALM Evreux took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then JA Vichy had a 19-17 second period charge getting the lead and ALM Evreux was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-91. JA Vichy made 27-of-31 charity shots (87.1 percent) during the game, while ALM Evreux only scored eight points from the stripe. 24 personal fouls committed by ALM Evreux helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American point guard Dustin Ware (183-90, college: Georgia) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Charles-Henri Bronchard (200-82, agency: Court Side) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. JA Vichy's coach Stephane Dao allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Senegalese power forward Papa Beye (202-89) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for ALM Evreux. Five JA Vichy and four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. JA Vichy moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Lille. ALM Evreux lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. JA Vichy's next round opponent will be ADA Blois (#9) on the road. ALM Evreux will play against Saint Chamond and hope to win that game.
