Regular Season Round 17: San Miniato - Oleggio 74-58

Very expected game when 13th ranked Oleggio (6-11) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked San Miniato (9-8) 74-58 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for San Miniato especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Guard Francesco Stefanelli (190-95) stepped up and scored 18 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and power forward Roberto Bertolini (198-86) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Filiberto Dri (190-89) responded with 19 points and Dominican guard Shaquille Hidalgo (188-94) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Miniato moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with Padova and Crema. Loser Oleggio dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. San Miniato will face Bottegone (#10) on the road in the next round. Oleggio will play against Sangiorgese and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
