Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Maddaloni (1-16) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Roma Luiss (10-7) 84-74 on Sunday. Roma Luiss well out of reach of Maddaloni shooting 89.2 percent from the field. Guard Andrea Scuderi (188-92) stepped up and scored 21 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Piero De Dominicis (193-95) chipped in 17 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Swingman Alessandro Guagliardi (194-94) responded with 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and point guard Giangiacomo De Vincenzo (180-94) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Roma Luiss maintains sixth place in B with 10-7 record, which they share with Lecco. Loser Maddaloni keeps the sixteenth position with 16 games lost. Roma Luiss will face higher ranked Basket Barcellona (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Maddaloni will play against Palestrina (#3) in Roma and hope to win that game.
