Second Stage Round 2: Chanson V-M - Toyota A. 47-53

Another exciting game was played in Shizuoka between Toyota A. and Chanson V-M where Toyota A. (1-1) beat Chanson V-M (0-2) on the road 53-47. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Chanson V-M won fourth quarter 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Toyota A. dominated on the defensive end, holding Chanson V-M to just 6 points in second quarter. International forward Mika Kurihara (178-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Rie Izumita (177-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Toyota A.'s coach Don Beck allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Minaho Minamiminoru (167-93) replied with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international swingman Saori Saitoguchisato (178-87) added 6 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Chanson V-M. Toyota A. will play against Fujitsu RW in Kawasaki in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chanson V-M will play on the road against JX-Eneos S. in Kashiwa to get more than just one victory in their record.
