Fourteenth-ranked AZS Koszalin (6-11) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Krosno (11-6) on Friday. The visitors from Krosno managed to secure only two-point victory 62-60. However their fans expected much easier game. Krosno outrebounded AZS Koszalin 39-26 including 33 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Royce Woolridge (190-92, college: Grand Canyon) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Swedish-American guard Chris Czerapowicz (201-91, college: Davidson) who added 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Remon Nelson (175-90, college: FoKoPo) responded with 17 points and his fellow American import guard Curtis Millage (188-81, college: Arizona St., agency: Octagon Europe) scored 15 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Krosno have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Anwil. Loser AZS Koszalin keeps the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Krosno will face Asseco (#13) in Gdynia in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS Koszalin will play on the road against Energa Czarni in Slupsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
