There was an upset in Melilla where leader CAM E.Soler (9-5) was defeated by seventh ranked Cazorla (7-7) 106-99 on Saturday. Cazorla shot 60.6 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Cazorla especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard LeShaun Murphy (183-90, college: Auburn-Montgomery) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 assists. His fellow American import forward Vadal Faniel (201-92, college: Texas A&M Int.) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. Five Cazorla players scored in double figures. American guard Joe Graessle (193-92, college: Tiffin) produced 30 points and point guard Alvaro Garcia (185-96) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Cazorla moved-up to fourth place in Group D-A, which they share with Meridiano Baza. Loser CAM E.Soler still keeps top position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
