Regular Season Round 15: Amyntas Dafnis - Iraklis 63-74

There was no surprise in Athens where 9th ranked Amyntas Dafnis (6-9) was defeated by second ranked Iraklis (13-2) 74-63. Iraklis players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for guard Kostas Totsios (191-78) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Lithuanian Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-92) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Guard Ioannis Angelopoulos (194-91) came up with 19 points and point guard Leonidas Zoupas (182-82) added 14 points respectively for Amyntas Dafnis in the defeat. Amyntas Dafnis' coach Alexis Zavos tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Iraklis maintains second place with 13-2 record having just one point less than leader Panionios. Newly promoted Amyntas Dafnis dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Iraklis' next round opponent will be Holargos (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Amyntas Dafnis will play against AE Larissas and hope to win that game.
