Another exciting game was also this time a derby match between local teams from Doha: El Jaysh (#1) and Al Sadd (#8). Al Sadd was crushed at home by 27 points 65-92 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. El Jaysh led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. El Jaysh forced 24 Al Sadd turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. American point guard Dominic James (180-86, college: Marquette) stepped up and scored 29 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Vernon Macklin (208-86, college: Florida) chipped in 21 points and 11 rebounds. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward AJ West (206-91, college: Nevada) responded with 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and Senegalese center Oumar Seck (208-88) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for El Jaysh. They maintain first place with 12-0 record. Al Sadd lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. El Jaysh's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Qatar Sports Club.
