Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Lecco (11-7) edged on the road 12th ranked Vicenza (6-12) 58-56 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was power forward Jacopo Balanzoni (203-93, agency: Interperformances) who scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Carlo Fumagalli (187-96) chipped in 13 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Daniele Demartini (187-84, agency: Players Group) who recorded 6 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and Francesco Rizzetto (198-94) added 18 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Lecco moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Faenza. Loser Vicenza keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Lecco will face league's second-placed Bergamo at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vicenza will play against Reggio Emilia (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
