There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Cefalu (8-9) beat at home second-best Valmontone (15-3) 75-68 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian point guard Emiliano Paparella (180-83, agency: Players Group) who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Marco Mollura (196-93) chipped in 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Argentinian swingman Manuel Carrizo (198-80, agency: Players Group) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international power forward Luca Bisconti (206-82) added 19 points respectively. Cefalu moved-up to ninth place in B. Loser Valmontone keeps the second position with three games lost. Cefalu will face Roma Vis Nova (#13) at home in the next round. Valmontone will play against Scauri (#10) and hope to win that game.
