Regular Season Round 15: Broni - Torino 53-66

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Torino and 9th ranked Broni had identical 4-10 record. But Broni was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Torino 66-53 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Torino. Broni managed to win fourth quarter 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American forward Ashley Bruner (183-91, college: S.Carolina, agency: Two Points) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Jori Davis (175-89, college: Indiana) helped adding 20 points. The best for the losing side was American-Nigerian Ndidi Madu (188-89, college: Florida, agency: Josep and Nicolas) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Agnese Soli (168-87, agency: LBM Management) scored 11 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Torino maintains eighth place with 5-10 record. Newly promoted Broni keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Torino will meet at home league's second-placed Familia Schio in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Broni will play against the league's leader Lucca (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
